In other words, how I try to break even with the whole calories-in/calories-out thing.

Monday, 4/2/12
Workout with Sean

  • 100 double-arm rows, dropset
  • Treadmill run @ 5.8 and 15% incline, 2 minutes
  • 150 heavybag flips
  • Jump rope, 3 minutes
  • 100 staggered push-ups with 2 boxes
  • 100 quick jump-ups with 2 boxes
  • Jump rope, 3 minutes

5-mile run; average pace 9:06/mile

Wednesday, 4/4/12
Workout with Sean

100 pistol squats each leg, with TRX

150 reps of each of the following, done in whatever order and number of reps at a time I want:
  • Push-ups
  • Tuck jumps
  • Half-burpees
  • Halos with 25# plate
  • Band swings
  • Push-press with 15# dumbbells
40 minute walk outside, before work

30 minute walk outside, before work
6-mile run; average pace 9:04/mile

Friday, 4/6/12
Workout with Sean

100 bent-over 1-arm rows, each arm, with 25# dumbbell

150 reps of each of the following, done in whatever order and number of reps at a time I want:
  • Box jumps with 2 boxes
  • Deep squats
  • Bench-overs
  • Jacknives with feet on TRX (knees pull in)
  • Triceps dips wtih feet on TRX
75 minute walk outside


Saturday, 4/7/12
9-mile run; average pace 10:11/mile (ugh, this was really freaking slow.  Felt really tired.  Shouldn't have done that long walk the day before)


Sunday, 4/8/12
Not a damn thing.


Monday, 4/9/12
Workout with Sean

1-legged squats to bench w/ 10# kettlebell, 100 per leg

The following exercises performed in whatever order and number of reps I chose:
  • 200 kettlebell swings
  • 100 burpees
  • 500 jump ropes
  • 150 jump pull-ups
  • 100 inverted rows on TRX

30 minute walk outside before work

30 minute walk outside before work
5 mile run; average pace 8:59/mile


Wednesday, 4/11/12
Workout with Sean

Push-ups on medicine ball--20 sec. on/10 sec. off for 4 minutes
Push-ups 20 sec./Half burpees 20 sec. for 4 minutes
Treadmill 2 min. at 5.6 and 15% incline

5 rounds of the following:
  • Bench step-ups with knee lift and back lunge--20 per leg
  • 100 jumpropes
3 rounds of the following:
  • 20 bag flips
  • 20 broad jumps
40 minute walk outside before work


Thursday, 4/12/12
6 mile run; average pace 9:17/mile


Friday, 4/13/12
Workout with Sean

The following exercises performed in whatever order and whatever number of reps I choose:
  • 200 knee-ins with gliders
  • 150 upright rows with barbell
  • 150 inverted rows
  • 100 box jumps with 4 boxes
  • 65 front squats with weighted barbell (supposed to do 150...ran out of time)
45 minute walk in the evening

Saturday, 4/14/12
10 mile run; average pace 9:43/mile

The following exercises performed in whatever order and whatever number of reps I choose:
  • 100 snatches with barbell
  • 150 pikes on TRX
  • 150 band-assisted chin-ups
  • 150 deep squats with EZ-curl bar overhead
45 minute walk before work

20 minute walk outside before work
5 mile run; average pace 8:53/mile
